Dr Lauren Clarke
Medical Doctor and Disaster Specialist Lauren is a Medical Doctor with a keen interest in emergency medicine & disaster management. She is currently employed full time with the Red Cross and Stations in haiti following the 2021 Earthquake. Dr Lauren was a speaker at the 2018 GOAL Expo and Symposium in Henley on Thames. |
Prior to becoming a Doctor, Lauren studied for a bachelors degree in disaster management at Coventry University and undertook numerous deployments to different countries and projects throughout her studies; including to Haiti on multiple occasions fixing medical equipment and working on public health projects after the 2010 earthquake.
Additionally, Lauren spent a year working with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre speaking at disaster response conferences and in particular worked with the Royal Thai Government providing training and table top exercises in disaster response and emergency planning.
Lauren has been in touch with ERT SAR since 2011 is really excited to be more involved operationally with the team.
She is keen to be able to combine her background in disaster management and medicine together for humanitarian benefit.
