Dr Reham is the ERT SAR SPOC in Egypt and a Specialist Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon in cases of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Dr Reham work with ERT SAR Medics SAR Chief Gary (Paramedic) Nurse Virginia Foo and others on a special Emergency Medical Response project in the Middle East in the 2000's. The project based in the United Arab Emirates sparked a healthy mutual interest in humanitarian response and Dr Reham became involved officially some years later. |

Dr. Reham Awwad, graduated from Gulf Medical University in 2008 in the United Arab Emirates and started her training at IMC hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in cosmetic & reconstructive surgery.
She later continued her surgery fellowship training program at Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, USA , and participated in several research programs. Afterwards, she started her post graduate studies at Kasr Al Ainy University Hospital where she did her Master in General Surgery, focusing on female genital cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Reham Awwad is a certified specialist in cosmetic & reconstructive surgeon, and dedicated her thesis, research and work to "Clitoral Reconstruction after Female Genital Mutilation", which has been her personal passion for several years. Her interest on this issue began shortly after completing medical school and it continues to be a passion of hers, with special interest to help FGM victims overcome their suffering and improve their quality of life |

Shortly after completing her masters, she joined forces with Dr. Amr Seifeldin to continue her work and training in her field of passion. Currently she is working as a cosmetic surgery as well as training in female genital cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, with intent to expand surgical expertise, knowledge and research in the field.
Their combined passion for helping women suffering from FGM has brought them together to open the first multidisciplinary center in Egypt and Middle East for management of women suffering from all complications due to Female Genital Mutilation, with several modalities and the most advanced technology available.
