ERT SAR Medics
Since day one, ERTSAR has always had a medical capacity to respond to any emergency, disaster or mission especially in austere and remote environments. Although we are trained like most medics, we specialise in pre-hospital care in a tactical and disaster setting as a part of our remote and austere care mandate. This means that our training, kit, equipment and readiness must reflect our best ability to respond "in the field."
ERT SAR has three types of Medic which includes professional and titles medics with a protected title (like a Doctor, Nurse or Paramedic) and non titled like EMTs, Field Trauma Medics, Tactical Medics, Medical Technicians, Marine Medics, Rescue Medics, Advanced Wilderness Medics and Advanced First Aiders. Our medics are well integrated as a part of the ERT SAR team and many are also Marine Unit Operators, Rescuers and SAR Engineers too.
